Siemens Beefs Up Machine Tool Processes

Siemens Beefs Up Machine Tool Processes

Machine tooling technology in automation systems has taken a step forward with a slew of announcements this week from Siemens. The company has added significantly to its Sinumerik automation system, particularly in the area of machine technology. Also part of the rollout were energy-saving tools to help manufacturers save dollars and meet environmental regulations.
Turning to the specific, Siemens says it has improved the multitasking capabilities for the Sinumerik 840D sl CNC (computer numerical control) automation system. The system can now simultaneously control a number of machine technologies in metalworking, such as turning, drilling, milling, grinding, laser machining, nibbing, and punching. The tools can also be used with multitasking machines such as turn-mill or mill-turn centers
The machine functionality is designed to be simple to configure for different machine kinematics and permits production. The Sinumerik Operate user control board has also been improved with animated elements, including 3D display. Programming has been extended to include milling and turning tools in a single user interface.
The operator panel now has touch-screen capabilities and wide LED (light-emitting diode) screens that allow the operator to clearly visualize every key actuation, no matter what angle of vision. An integrated key lock helps safeguard against operating errors.

Energy efficiency improvementsSiemens also added energy efficiency tools to its machine control technology. With the Sinumerik Ctrl-Energy, the company has opened up a range of tools for energy-efficient operation of machine tools, including drive systems and motors, CNC, and drive functions. The technology was designed to cover every aspect of the machine’s lifecycle, starting from machine design and engineering through machine operation and partial or complete retrofit.
From the control board, the automation system can provide a fast evaluation of the machine tool’s energy consumption and also manage energy consumption during machine downtime. The control system can determine the energy consumption of both the drive system and the entire machine. This helps the user analyze the amount of energy that goes into the machining of each work piece as the basis for energy improvements.

As well, Sinumerik technology now offers the ability to integrate machine and production data into the company’s IT system. This is designed to give an overview of the entire production process, down to the shop level. This brings transparency into metalworking operations, which can be used to uncover weak spots, eliminate them, and develop an effective continual improvement process.
The IT integrated production process allows managers, machine operators, programmers, maintenance engineers, and machine tool builders to be connected with each other and integrated into the overall system. The integration concentrates IT-related functions into a single process suite, using six modules that bring together all the aspects of the machine tool process.

Machine tool performance enhancementsSiemens has also added tools to enhance machine tool productivity. The control system combines a number of user interfaces to give control engineers a consistent view of machine tools. The interface contains animated elements designed to support intuitive operation and programming. Engineers can use the interface to improve quality and increase the productivity of machine tools.
A 3D display on the control screen gives users a graphical view of the machine activity to help improve efficiencies. This feature was developed for applications in industries such as automotive and aerospace, power generation, medical part production, shopfloor manufacturing, and tool- and mold-making.

In early Greek history, the apple figured in courtship as well as the rites and customs of
marriage. For example, a happy couple in the seventh century B.C. might share an Apple as a symbol of their marriage and hopes for a fruitful union.
~ In China the Apple stands for peace and its blossom for adoration.
~ Gypsy tradition had a young woman eat half an apple before midnight and the other half after, if she wanted her true love to appear in a
 dream.
~ At her wedding to Zeus, Gaia supplied Apples to Hera, signifying long love and union. ~ Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, offered Apples to woo                                                                      Aphrodite and win her love.

Cupid or Eros

http://i1.squidoocdn.com/resize/squidoo_images/250/draft_lens2326595module12961136photo_1238730006two-cupids.png"When the one man loves the one woman and the one woman loves the one man, the very angels desert heaven and come and sit in that house and sing for joy." ~The Brahma Sutras

The love and attraction that a man and women initially feel for one another is traditionally ascribed to the mythological god, Cupid.

Cupid is represented as a naked, chubby boy with wings and possessing a mischievous smile. He carries a bow with a quiver of arrows, which he uses to strike love into our hearts.

Cupid or "Eros" means desire in Greek.
~ In ancient Greece, Eros (Cupid), was the young son of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, and Ares. According to Hesiod, Eros was the deity who came from Chaos ("The Yawning Void") and represented the primal forces of desire.

~ According to a legend in Roman mythology, Cupid's mother, Venus (the Goddess of Love) was jealous of the beauty of Psyche, Cupid's mortal lover, and ordered Cupid to punish her. Instead, Cupid fell deeply in love with her, and took her as his wife, but as a mortal Psyche was forbidden to ever look directly at Cupid.

Psyche was happy until her sisters persuaded her to look at Cupid, Cupid punished her by leaving her. Psyche instantly found herself alone in an open field without Cupid or even any other humans in sight. As she wandered trying to find her love, she came upon the temple of Venus. Wishing to still destroy her, the goddess gave Psyche a series of tasks, each harder and more dangerous then the last.

For her last task Psyche was given a little box and told to take it to the underworld. She was to get some of the beauty of Perserphine, the wife of Pluto, and put it in the box. She was warned not to open the box, but Temptation overcame her and she opened the box. Instead of finding beauty, she found a deadly slumber.

When Cupid came upon her lifeless body on the ground, he gathered the deadly sleep from her and put it back in the box. Cupid forgave her, as did Venus, and the Gods, moved by Psyche's love for Cupid, made her a Goddess.~

"Music is love in search of a word." ~Sidney Lanier

The Harp is a symbol of love in the form of lyrical art, poetry, and music.

"According to legends, the first harp was built by Canola. After a tiff with her love, she wandered through the night and was drawn to some beautiful music, which eventually sent her to sleep. In the morning she discovered the source of the sound - the skeleton of a whale with flesh hanging down, through which the wind had blown and made a unique sound. Inspired by the find, she created the first harp and dedicated it to Daghda, the Celtic god of abundance and protection. Daghda's harp is said to have the ability to create three types of music - sad, joyful and peaceful."
~ Holistic.Shop.Co.Uk

~ The Harp shares more mythical connections to the Celts, representing the bridge of love, connecting heaven and earth.
~ In Norway and Iceland, the Harp strings formed a ladder symbolizing the ascent to higher states of love and a pathway leading to paradise.
~ King David played the Harp to the Lord, to express his devotion and love.

The Heart as A Symbol of Love

http://i3.squidoocdn.com/resize/squidoo_images/590/draft_lens2326595module12961138photo_1238728070vintage-doves-red-hearts-key.png"A hundred hearts would be too few To carry all my love for you." ~Author Unknown

A Heart, pierced by the cupid's arrow, once rumored to be tipped with diamonds, has become the most famous symbol of love. The Heart has long been recognized across cultures as being a symbol for charity, joy and compassion, as well as love.
~ It was formerly believed that the heart was the seat of all human emotions and that the "vein of love", ran directly from the heart to the tip of the third finger of the left hand, which is where we wear our wedding rings today. Accordingly, the gifting of a heart signified the selfless act of giving everything to someone you love. This ancient belief has lingered on through the ages.
~ Magicians and Alchemists used the Heart symbol for incantations and rituals related to love, romance and strengthening relationships.
~ As an emblem of truth, the "Sacred Heart" of Christ is also the focus of Roman Catholic worship as a symbol of the Lord's love.

WHAT IS LOVE:- There is many definitions of love which r created and maked by many benevolent personalities ,,but can u know what actually ''LOVE'' IS...................

IN MY WAY OF THINKING,,LOVE IS,,,,,
There are many different meanings we attach to the word love, but the most important aspect of all of them, and probably the only one that applies across all meanings, is the promise not to betray.
True love isn't about passion or lust or attraction or common interests and personalities. It's something altogether different. It's about learning to complement each other, learning to grow with each other. It's about doing love-things, even when you don't feel like it, even when life drives you to insanity, even if you think you've lost love. It's about commitment and perseverance and thinking and feeling and happiness.
Love bears the pain of the world, believes lies, hopes despite sense and reason, endures torture. Good advice by a wife beater to his victim. Quite revealing that the passage never gives a happy side to love, only counsels to endure and keep enduring an infinite sea of pain.
LET ME TELL U ONE STORY ABOUT ,,U ALL REALLY LIKE THIS,,,
Two lovers sat on a park bench, with their bodies touching each other, holding hands in the moonlight.

There was silence between them. So profound was their love for each other, they needed no words to express it. And so they sat in silence, on a park bench, with their bodies touching, holding hands in the moonlight.

Finally she spoke. "Do you love me, John?" she asked. "You know I love you, darling," he replied. "I love you more than tongue can tell. You are the light of my life, my sun, moon and stars. You are my everything. Without you I have no reason for being."

Again there was silence as the two lovers sat on a park bench, their bodies touching, holding hands in the moonlight. Once more she spoke. "How much do you love me, John?" she asked. He answered: "How much do I love you? Count the stars in the sky. Measure the waters of the oceans with a teaspoon. Number the grains of sand on the sea shore."

"Impossible, you say? Yes, and it is just as impossible for me to say how much I love you. My love for you is higher than the heavens, deeper than Hades, and broader than the earth. It has no limits, no bounds. Everything must have an ending except my love for you."

There was more of silence as the two lovers sat on a park bench with their bodies touching, holding hands in the moonlight.

Once more her voice was heard. "Kiss me, John," she implored. And leaning over, he pressed his lips warmly to hers in fervent osculation.
The problem is, that love means something very different for each and every individual on this planet.

It's complicated by many of the following:

physical attraction sexual attraction bonding trust needs caregiver syndrome father figure syndrome mother figure syndrome greed jealousy users takers givers abusers stability fear ignorance self-indulgence king syndrome queen syndrome immaturity big-baby syndrome possessive disorder money etc...
When people have the need to include love as a requirement for marriage, then the complications really begin.

True love in a partnership is simply: commitment; participation; trust; reliability; caring; faithfulness, etc.

WHAT IS YOUR WAY OF LOOKING TOWARDS THE LOVE,,,YOUR SUGGESTION AND THINKING ARE WELCOME,,,,

technology smoking,,is it addiction,, yeah sure?

Technology is the new smoking. That is to say, checking your messages is a habit that certain inconsiderate people do at the table and others excuse themselves to do privately, and which just may be an addiction. "We've all been there; You're at an outing with friends but itching to check your email or Facebook or Twitter or Instagram or Google+ or Yammer or whatever digital hit of serotonin you prefer," says TechCrunch. TC cites a new British study where investigators cut off access for 1,000 people and 53 percent felt "deprived" and some likened it to "quitting drinking or smoking." So that makes it an addiction, supposedly. "Add this to the yet un-proven concerns that smartphone usage leads to Cancer and the smoking analogy becomes more and more apt," TC adds. Well, that's a stretch. But, look, it has been a weird, sad week where few things made sense.
